Abstract
Women's participation in high-level political management in the country is a topic that has always faced conflicting opinions among Islamic scholars and jurists. This has led to diverse approaches, analyses, interpretations, and opinions. This research employs a documentary and survey methodology. The aim of this article is to examine the views of contemporary Shia scholars regarding the possibility or impossibility of women holding managerial positions, along with their supporting arguments. To investigate this issue, we first consulted Shia jurisprudence sources and then, through structured interviews, gathered the opinions of contemporary Shia scholars in this field. The results of this research indicate that the Sharīʿah's view, based on an examination of Shia jurisprudence sources, is not negative or prohibitive regarding women's presence in high-level political management in the country; rather, it has a positive view. Scholars' opinions on this matter are not uniform; some are in favor and some are opposed, each group citing their own supporting arguments. Given that the prohibition of women holding managerial positions (such as the presidency) is not a settled matter in jurisprudence, there is no prohibition against women holding such positions.
