Peer Review Process

Article Review Process

Review Procedure for the  Muslim Women's Studies

Ensuring the integrity and credibility of research is paramount for all academic publications. At the International University of Ahl al-Bayt Press, our review process adheres to rigorous standards to uphold these values.

All submissions to our journal undergo a double-blind peer review process. In this system, the identities of both the authors and the reviewers remain confidential throughout the evaluation.

Review Process Overview:

  1. Initial Screening: Each submitted manuscript is first screened for plagiarism. The International University of Ahl al-Bayt Press enforces a strict anti-plagiarism policy to maintain the highest standards of academic integrity.
  2. Editorial Review: The editorial board conducts an initial review to assess whether the manuscript meets the journal’s submission criteria. Manuscripts that pass this preliminary evaluation are forwarded to at least two independent reviewers for detailed assessment.
  3. Peer Review: The double-blind peer review process ensures that neither the authors nor the reviewers are aware of each other's identities. This confidentiality helps maintain an unbiased evaluation of the manuscript.
  4. Decision Making: The reviewers provide feedback and comments, which the editorial board considers. In cases where reviewers disagree, a third reviewer or the editorial board will make the final decision.
  5. Final Decision: Articles are categorized as "Accepted," "Conditional Acceptance (Requires Revisions)," or "Rejected" based on the review outcomes.

Submission Requirements:

To facilitate the review process, please ensure the following documents are included with your submission:

  1. Main Article File: This should contain the title, abstract, main text, and references without author’s names or affiliations. Also, make sure to redact references to your own work.
  2. Authors’ Information File: This file should list the title of the article, full names of authors in order of contribution, their academic titles, institutional affiliations, and contact emails.
  3. "Response to Reviewers" File: For articles requiring revisions, this file should address reviewers' comments and outline changes made to the manuscript.

The International University of Ahl al-Bayt Press employs a comprehensive online management system to safeguard the anonymity of all individuals involved in the review process.
