Aims and Scope

Muslim Women's Studies (MWS), established by the International Ahlul-Bayt University through the efforts of its Research and Technology Deputy, aims to publish original research and studies on the social status of women and families within the Islamic world. Our inaugural issue is to be released in March 2025. MWS is dedicated to advancing scholarly knowledge in this field through the dissemination of fundamental theoretical studies, analyses of religious texts, and field research on pertinent topics.

The scope of MWS encompasses a wide range of issues, including but not limited to:

  • Psychological topics related to women and families
  • Educational aspects concerning women and families
  • Teachings of Shiite Imams and the Prophet Muhammad’s Household (Ahl al-Bayt) on women and families
  • Social issues related to gender
  • Comparative studies of women and families across various religions
  • Reviews of women’s and family studies within the Islamic world
  • Social history of gender
  • Islamic studies of women and family
  • Various issues concerning family studies

MWS is committed to enhancing research and providing insights into these and other relevant issues, fostering a deeper understanding of the social dynamics affecting women and families in the Islamic world.
